In East Java, Jasa Raharja Insurance Claims Decrease by 50% During the 2023 Eid Travel Season

During this year's Eid 2023 transportation period in East Java from H-7 to D+7, Jasa Raharja's major branch there saw a considerable decline in accident rates of up to 50%.

The accident insurance claims made during the Lebaran transportation era in East Java demonstrate this.

If insurance claims for victims who died during the Lebaran transit period reach more than Rp. 13 billion in 2022, this year's total of Rp. 7.4 billion was only recorded, according to Eva Yuliasta, Head of Jasa Raharja Main Branch of East Java.

Eva stated on Thursday, April 5, 2023, "Insurance claims during Lebaran transportation were more than IDR 13 billion last year, but this year they are only IDR 7.4 billion."

However, due to the ongoing process of absorption, he has been unable to provide a precise number for insurance claims for harmed people. The number of victims who were injured is still being counted, but he predicted that it will drop by almost half.

Eva claims that although 1,223 people were hurt and 260 people died as a result of traffic accidents during the homecoming and return flows of Idul Fitri and Idul Fitri in 2022, the numbers decreased to 152 deaths and 8 additional injuries in 2023.

The East Java Regional Police and the East Java Provincial Government are both acknowledged by Jasa Raharja for their contributions in lowering the number of traffic accidents during this year's Eid transportation.

Eva hopes that the Eid transportation can once again be scaled back so that there are no mishaps.

"Efforts to increase free homecoming transportation, provision of rest areas, and holiday policies are very effective in reducing the number of road accidents during Lebaran homecoming," the man claimed.
