The Car Was Crossed Out By The Child, Does The Insurance Still Apply? These Are The Facts

It is impossible to break the early habit of writing on youngsters. Your child can draw on the car in addition to the wall. Can the auto insurance cover the graffiti on the car, then?

According to Laurentius Iwan Pranoto, head of PR and marketing for Asuransi Astra, consumers cannot file insurance claims for their vehicles if there is child-made graffiti. This is an exception and is not covered by auto insurance.

Because the graffiti falls within the area of car damage caused by a brother, coverage is not possible. The Indonesian Motor Vehicle Insurance Standard Policy Specimen (PSAKBI) states this.

According to Iwan, who was mentioned by Bisnis on Friday (7/4/2023), "The insurance cannot be claimed because it was done by someone under the insured's supervision, including family children."

In reference to PSAKBI, point 1.3 of Chapter II on the exclusion clause states that the insured's spouse, children, parents, or siblings must not have committed a sin.

This means that a child's graffiti is not covered by a motor insurance policy for the sort of damage that it causes.
