The Electric Version Of Honda HR-V Is Starting To Be Tested In ASEAN, Released This Year?
If we look at the five car brands
in Indonesia, only Honda and Daihatsu have not seen any movement towards
electric power. For Daihatsu, they are truly in an area that is not affected by
electric power. However, Honda is another story. As a brand in Indonesia, Honda
is always asked about its electrification system. And this year seems to be the
answer for the Japanese H brand.
Soon in ASEAN Including Indonesia?
How did it happen? It's easy,
because it is known that this year Honda Indonesia will sell Honda CR-V Hybrid
and Honda Accord Hybrid for stores. Both were presented at GIIAS 2022
yesterday. However, the biggest surprise came after that. Last December, we had
the opportunity to chat with PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) Business Innovation
and Sales & Marketing Manager, Mr. Yusak Billy. During this conversation,
Mr. Billy pointed out that after 2 hybrid models, other Honda e-series products
will be presented. That we suspect is only the Honda e:NS1, the electric
version of the Honda HR-V. Tit for tat, of course, the Honda e:NS1 was
photographed being road tested in Thailand. Citing photos from Headlightmag,
you can see a car in camouflage being transported to a port in Thailand. The
car is identical in shape and size to the Honda HR-V. But it is easy to
conclude that this car is Honda e:NS1. If the Honda e: NS1 is road tested, it
is possible that the Honda e: NS1 will be released in Southeast Asia, including
Indonesia. We have received reports that the electric version of the Honda HR-V
will be available by the end of 2023. It may be at Thai Motor Expo 2023.
From 388 Million Rupiah In China
Honda e: NS1 itself was first
introduced in China and produced by Dongfeng Honda in 2022 yesterday. Two
variants were introduced, namely variants with a battery capacity of 53.6 kWh
and 68.8 kWh. The battery used is a lithium ion type and there is a water
cooling system. For the electric motor, Honda e: NS1 relies on a PMSM engine with
204 hp and 310 Nm of torque that transmits power to the two front wheels.
Driving distance varies, from 420 to 510 km depending on battery capacity. As
for the price, the Honda e: NS1 is sold with a tag ranging from 175,000 yuan to
218,000 yuan in China. What is conversion? around 388 to 484 million rupiah.
