BUSINESS FINANCE : Dividends From Bank Mega's Net Earnings For The Fiscal Year 2022 Will Be Distributed In The Amount Of IDR 2.84 Trillion

 

At the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS), which took place on Friday (24/2), shareholders gave PT Bank Mega Tbk permission to disburse dividends for the 2022 fiscal year.

Bank Mega will disperse Rp 2.84 trillion of the company's Rp 4.05 trillion in 2022 net profit to shareholders in the form of cash dividends. This implies that in 2022, roughly 70% of the company's net earnings will be allocated to dividends.

During a performance presentation in Jakarta on Friday (24/2) Kostaman Thayib, the main director of Bank Mega, stated: "The remaining profit of IDR 1.21 trillion will be recorded as retained earnings, and IDR 77.66 billion will be put aside as a reserve fund."

Bank Mega also came to the decision to alter the management's makeup at the AGMS. As a result of technical advancements and the need for digitalization, Bank Mega has appointed YB Hariantono as Director of Information Technology. Before that, he was Director of IT & Operations at Bank BNI.

Additionally, according to Kostaman, the addition of provisions for the position of Deputy Main Director in the membership of the Board of Directors is in accordance with the amendments to the articles of association that have been approved at this AGMS. This position must be filled in order to complete the composition of the Company's Board of Directors.

The addition of an Independent Commissioner to the Board of Commissioners would "as well complement the members of the Board of Commissioners in carrying out their current roles and responsibilities," Kostaman said.
